The tradition for camping culture is as old as Landsmót hestamanna itself and for many guests that is still an unbreakable part of the event. This summer we are planning a well organised camping area, with nearby WC and active security and cleaning team.

A decision has been made by The Icelandic Equestrian Association, Horse Breeders Association and Rangárbakkar the management of Landsmót to postpone Landsmót that was supposed to take place in Hella 6. – 11. July this summer. Instead Landsmót will be held in Hella in the summer of 2022. This decision has been taken in consultation with Sprettur and Landsmót that should have taken place in Sprettur Kópavogur in the summer of 2022, will be held there instead in 2024. All those who applied to host the 2024 Landsmót, have been given the chance to let their application stay valid for the 2026 event instead.

The market area is usually one of the biggest attractions when visiting a great event like Landsmót hestamanna. This summer Team Landsmót will set up a grand Market Village in a 900 sqm tent, that will be located between the main track and breeding track. Our guests can therefor use the breaks to explore exciting brands, products and services in our Market Village.

The planning of a big event like Landsmót 2020 means good relationship with main sponsors. The host Rangárbakkar, takes the responsibility seriously and the first business agreement was made with the well known wellness company, BLUE LAGOON.

Landsmót will be held in Hella from 6th till 11th of June this summer. The event manager Eiríkur Vilhelm Sigurðsson expects around 8.000 to 10.000 guests and that 2000 tickets have been sold so far in the presale.
