Enjoy watching the world‘s best horses and riders compete at Landsmót hestamanna 2022. Iceland‘s leading musicians will perform and a variety of Icelandic food and products will be available in the market tents.

A group of volunteers came together on Saturday and did a great job at Rangárbakkar.

Rangárbakkar committee has finalized an agreement with the renowned Magnús Benediktsson as the director of Landsmót hestamanna - the national tournament of the Icelandic horse in 2022.

Preparations have begun for the National Icelandic Horse Competition Landsmót 2022 which will be held 4-10. July 2022 at Rangárbakkar in Hella.

Team Landsmót is working on a big event this summer and the planning is going very well for Landsmót at Rangárbakkar show grounds in Hella 4.-10. July 2022. We are expecting around 10000 visitors from all over the world and the show and competition horses will be just about 1000.

Like always, people have started to wonder which horses and riders are the most likely to reach such achievements as winning their class at LM2020 at Rangárbakkar, Hella.

The tradition for camping culture is as old as Landsmót hestamanna itself and for many guests that is still an unbreakable part of the event. This summer we are planning a well organised camping area, with nearby WC and active security and cleaning team.
