Landsmót hestamanna 2022 will begin on Sunday and formal agenda will end on Saturday evening the 9th of July. That is a change from what had been advertised before. On Sunday the 10th breeders in South Iceland will invite visitors of Landsmót to their farms, you could perhaps visit a Landsmót Champion!

How will the agenda of the event be structured?
The event will start on Sunday with preliminaries in Gæðingakeppni in childrens and young adults class and breeding assessment. On the following days the feast continuous and reaches it peek on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Will there be something new to the competition?
Yes, there will be! At Landsmót hestamanna 2022 we‘ll invite all the best horses of Iceland. Gæðingakeppni is still the main event but there will also be fivegait, fourgait, Gæðingaskeið (PP1) and T2 in masterclass. Pace tests (100m, 150m and 250m) will be at their spot as well as breeding horses.
Why does the formal agenda be finished on Saturday evening?
We aim to held the most enjoyable Landsmót ever! We‘ll end the event with the best horses of Iceland where they are cheered by crowd of thousands! Followed by a music festival with Iceland‘s no1 artists.
What will be happening on Sunday the 10th?
On Sunday the 10th there will not be an agenda on the event grounds. Breeders in South Iceland will invite visitors of Landsmót to visit their farms. You could perhaps visit a Landsmót Champion!
Landsmót hestamanna 2022 will be an amazing festival! All the best horses of the country, no. 1 musicians, great food and as we say in Iceland „Maður er manns gaman“! Maður er manns gaman is hard to translate but if you‘ll join us at Landsmót that will hopefully be your experience!
