Competition and Exciting Show Events

Landsmót Hestamanna 2024 is set to be an exhilarating event, showcasing the finest „Gæðingar“ in Icelandic „Gæðingakeppni“ and continuing the tradition of crowning Landsmót winners in sport events such as Tölt (T1) and the pace races (100m P2, 150m P3, and 250m P1) in master classes.

In addition to these events, the competition will include several show events in master classes where riders will compete in Fourgait (V1), Fivegait (F1), Tölt (T2) and Pace test (PP1). These show sport events will follow the traditional format of preliminary rounds culminating in an A final.

Participation Criteria and Conditions

The tournament organizers have set specific conditions for participation in the show events. The top 20 riders on the ranking list, aged 18 and over, will be eligible to participate. The right to participate is determined based on the ranking list as of June 17. Additionally, current World Champions automatically qualify for the event, ensuring that the highest caliber of competition is maintained.

Event Breakdown

The number of participants for each sport event has been outlined as follows:

• Tölt T1: 30 riders
• 100m Pace Race (P2): 20 riders
• 150m Pace Race (P3): 14 riders
• 250m Pace Race (P1): 14 riders
• Pace Test (PP1): 20 riders
• Fourgait (V1): 20 riders
• Fivegait (F1): 20 riders
• Loose Rein Tölt (T2): 20 riders
